BODTO Corporate Governance System – Strategic Plan, Vision & Mission
The Bodrum Chamber of Commerce (BODTO) combines the experience and success of its active leadership, assembly, and committee members in the business world with the knowledge and skills of its expert staff. By continuously researching members’ opinions and suggestions, collaborating with academic institutions, and shaping its plans and activities accordingly, BODTO ensures that its strategies are grounded in shared insight and expertise.
Within its Management System, BODTO has established an integrated corporate governance structure that incorporates risk-based process management, human resources management, and the requirements of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, ISO 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, strategic planning, and TOBB Accreditation Standards.
Established in accordance with Law No. 5174 on the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), the Bodrum Chamber of Commerce provides services to its members — primarily composed of incorporated merchants and traders — as outlined in Article 12 of the law. While most members are incorporated entities, not all have achieved full institutional maturity; therefore, BODTO aims to:
Support their corporate development,
Strengthen business growth and competitiveness,
Enhance professional capacity,
Foster international relations in exports, tourism, and promotion,
And provide training and other supportive services.
2025–2030 Strategic Plan
The 2025–2030 Strategic Plan of the Bodrum Chamber of Commerce was approved by the Board of Directors on November 19, 2024 (Decision No. 108) and will be implemented as of January 1, 2025. The 2025 Work Plan was also approved on the same date and will be utilized in budget and planning processes, with designated staff responsible for its execution and monitoring.
The Board of Directors is responsible for revising the strategic plan, making and implementing decisions, and overseeing their follow-up.
Mission (Purpose)
To contribute to the enhancement of the quality of life and services in our region by preserving Bodrum’s values and ensuring environmental sustainability.
Vision
By 2030, to double the average expenditure per foreign tourist compared to the national average in Türkiye.

Increasing awareness and knowledge in vocational education
Participating in international tourism events
Diversifying lobbying activities
Collaborating with relevant institutions to renew infrastructure and superstructure
Raising member awareness about social media evaluation and rating systems
Expanding promotional activities, particularly through digital platforms
Utilizing external funding sources
Conducting sustainability-focused projects
Developing incentive mechanisms to improve service quality
Diversifying types of tourism
Supporting competition among enterprises
