TUI CARE FOUNDATION PRESENTS ITS PROJECTS
Dear Members,
On July 25, 2025, representatives from the TUI Care Foundation visited the Bodrum Chamber of Commerce (BODTO).
The delegation included Miguel Figuero, General Manager of TUI Care Foundation Target 8.9, and Mehtap Özdemir, the Foundation’s Turkey Representative.
The meeting was hosted by BODTO Assembly President İlhan Ersan, Chairman of the Board Mahmut Serdar Kocadon, Vice Chairman Erdem Ağan, and Board Member Arif Ceylan Satı. During the discussions, the visitors provided detailed information about the sustainable tourism projects planned to be implemented across the Muğla region—particularly in Fethiye, Göcek, Ortaca, Ula, Milas, and Bodrum—under the theme “Shaping the Future.”
The initiative aims to develop supportive programs for entrepreneurs, artists, and especially women in the region.
In addition to sustainable tourism, the TUI Care Foundation representatives shared insights about their ongoing efforts in environmental protection, marine conservation, reforestation, and agriculture, emphasizing that they are open to potential collaborations for new projects.
During the meeting, both parties highlighted the importance of developing partnerships with local stakeholders—such as non-governmental organizations, academics, associations, development agencies, and chambers of commerce—to ensure that projects are implemented effectively and reach their true beneficiaries.
In this regard, the meeting with BODTO was considered an important step toward identifying regional needs and establishing appropriate support mechanisms.
Chairman Mahmut Serdar Kocadon stated that the Bodrum Chamber of Commerce is always ready to support initiatives that contribute to sustainable development and local economic empowerment.
